Introduction
The UK GDPR sets out seven principles, the first principle states that an organisation must process personal data lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to individuals. Burnt Oak Nepalese Community (BONC) is the data controller for yourburntoak. This means the BONC decides how your personal data is processed and for what purposes.

To maintain records of individuals who visit us or use our services;
To fund raise and promote the interests of yourburntoak;
To inform you of meetings, news, events and activities.

Legitimate interest to maintain our accounts and records, and to pursue matters that are in yourburntoak interests.
Your explicit consent so that we can keep you informed about meetings, news, events and activities.

Your personal data will be kept strictly confidential and won't be shared with other members or organisations unless it aligns with BONC's legitimate interests and is processed fairly and proportionately.
6. How long do we keep your personal data?
We keep data for as long as necessary for our purposes.

The right to request a copy of your personal data ;
The right to request to correct any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date;
The right to request your personal data is erased where it is no longer necessary
The right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time;
The right, where there is a dispute in relation to the accuracy or processing of your personal data, to request a restriction is placed on further processing.

We take appropriate measures to protect the personal information. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
